Anyone willing to help a young family get expereince farming/country life?

Hi there,

I have 3 kids ages 6,4 and 2 and we live in the city of melbourne. It has been a dream of mine to show them the country/farm lifestyle but have not been able to do this. We dont have any family or any friends that own farms.

I was hoping if anyone out there may have the heart/interest to allow me to bring my young family to visit and spend some time on your farm that would mean so much to me and my childrens life experiences. I really desperately want my kids to get to experience the amazing joy farming life can bring.

Starting a business in pest (rabbits, foxes) management

Hello, i am currently looking into starting a bussines in pest management specializing in farming and removal of rabbits and foxes etc. I was wondering if there is a worthwhile market out there and if farmers both small and large are willing to pay someone else to remove the pests for them.

A spray contracting company operating in south west Victoria, its director and five employees are thousands of dollars worse off after pleading guilty to charges of using a herbicide spray inappropriately.

Aerial pictures taken by Department of Primary Industries (DPI) showed extensive damage caused when the contractors ignored instructions on the labels and sprayed a long lasting herbicide on a wet day at Mirranatwa, north of Hamilton.

DPI prosecutors told the court the contractors, hired by the company, had sprayed several properties when the ground was saturated.

Economical food for sheep/goats/alpacas

Hi, We are a small hobby farm with damaraxdorper sheep, miniature goats/ alpacas are we are wondering what would be the most cost efficient supplemantary feed we could feed to all 3?? All have reasonable grazing in their paddocks and at present we are feeding goats/alpacas lucerne hay and alpaca pellets/lucerne chaff and molasses . And the sheep are getting mixed grain and lucerne hay  ......but it is starting to cost us a fortune in feed and we are wondering what others feed their stock to help reduce feeding prices??  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
