Hi all a newbie here and as a farm owner. Looking for some direction on how to apply to be a Primary Producer. No one seems to be able to help me ATO Service NSW Agricultural Office Local Council. We are on 27 acres RU1 property. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Only kindness please
Hi everyone,
I’ve been a member on here for a while but I’m pretty sure this is my first post.
This is a bit of a long post but to answer my main question you will need a brief overview of where I’m at and what my intentions are.
So me and my partner are looking at purchasing a 100acre farm. I have a dairy farming background and my partner has a background working with sheep. Once we buy the farm we would like to do free range choocks/eggs and sheep to start with.. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what licences or permits we would require aswell as other licences like chemicals license/cert for weed spraying etc that we also would need as beginners. we have found the perfect place and now we are looking at what else we need to know and what need.
Hello everyone. I have recently moved to a new farm and now thinking about renovating the house. Can anybody recommend repairing or renovating services? Thank you in advance.
Just recently purchased an 8 hectare farm and would like someone to assist with developing a high level farm layout for a fee.
Hi Guys,
I been a member here for over 12 months loving the content and community. I am in the process of purchasing a 500 acre farm in QLD. The soil is good, I have a 5 year plan to move onto the property full time with family so in the meantime I will doing improvements and construction.
I am wondering in the first 2 years what a good low maintenance animal to grow / graze on. Assuming the water supply and fencing will be adequate. Given that I am not living on the property yet I am looking to be up there a weekend a month.
Hi, I have a 20 acre hobby farm that has earned us nothing over the last 15 years we've lived here. The soil isn't great with high clay content and I have very limited water (tank water only). External fences are ok for sheep but not cattle and my internal fences are mostly falling down. I've considered many things but limited water seems to remove a lot of options and all I've done is keep a few sheep to stop the grass from over growing. Is there something I can do to earn some money from this place? Thanks so much
