Mulcher vs Slasher

Hi,

I would appreciate anyones experince on Mulchers versus Slashers.

I recently purchased a mulcher rather than a slasher on the basis that it would be able to cut long grass and small saplings as well as a slasher.

The Little Farm Company has come about through our own experiences on our ‘hobby farm’ set in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. Most equipment we could find was for large scale or commercial agricultural, it can be expensive and is primarily designed for large numbers of stock. The Little Farm Company seeks to provide cost-effective, practical solutions to make life easier for the hobby farmer and more pleasant for their stock. We also understand that many hobby farmers also have full or part-time employment and so the convenience of use, as well as reliability, is another important consideration.

Finally and most important of all, we are passionate about designing and manufacturing our products here in Australia. Established and launched in March 2013, it is our vision that The Little Farm Company will become a trusted brand for our own as well as a select range of other products that we think represent our marque of quality, ease of use and ‘nice to have’. The perfect mix of lifestyle and livestock.

We supply quality European made machinery, specialising in liquid and solid (raw or composted) effluent and fertiliser spreading machines, feed mixer wagons, and small articulated compact loaders. All our machines can be manufactured in small sizes suited to smaller farms, intensive farms or hobby farms. Our owner/director is a farmer himself and uses all the machines he sells on his own farm, therefore, he knows his products inside out, and can provide great operational knowledge, advice and post sales back up service and support.

Work Smart Equipment provides a large range of tracked walk-behind and ride-on mini dumpers / transporters. These machines (similar to a powered wheelbarrow) are are ideal for moving bulk materials around your farm. They provide a safe, fast and efficient way to transport soil, feed and other bulk materials.

Our mini dumper / transporters key features include: narrow machine width (for tight access and small storage space requirements), large carrying capacity (models range from 500kg bucket load capacity through to 2.5 Tonnes), rubber tracks and solid rocking roller undercarriage (travels over uneven ground and slopes) and hydrostatic transmission for easy operation and low maintenance. Models are available with low tip or high tip or swivel tip capability.
