New member just saying hi

Hi just joined up and have a small farm in Kandanga Qld called Wallenbeen which means Stoney ridge. Just had about 70 mm of rain over a few days so everything is looking well. We wish to breed small breed cattle. We have been building infastructure and improving place with grasses and fencing. We have a couple of  PB Dexter heifers, a Murray Grey/dexter heifer (Beautiful) and a Dexter/angus Steer. we grow our own veges and have our our own free range chickens.  Look forward to picking up a few tips and learning a lot from the members

Hi Chief,

Welcome. Haven't been down to Kandanga for several years now. Nice area. I am north of you and have had about 200 + ml of rain in the past two weeks. Wonderful after months of no rain and the pastures just dust. The paddocks are green already and looking great and all my dams and runoffs are either ove flowing or running for the first time in more than a year.

 

I saw one of my Murray Grey cows swimming in the dam yesterday. When I checked on what she doing, I had to laugh, as she was eating water lillies.

 

Anyway, anytime you have any questions, feel free to ask them and remember, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
