Interested in shared farming ???

Hi,

I reside in Sydney and work full time.  But I have always had the passion to pursue farming.  I am open to anybody or a group like me willing to invest time and money in farming.  We can share our work, learn together, split our gains (though I would'nt bank on that first couple of years !!).  A good attitude is a must.  Expect tough times, but if we stick together, I am sure we can pull it off.  I can contribute during weekends and even weeknights. Anybody interested ?

Thanks

Nagesh

Hi,

Do you have some more details/business plan or is this just an idea? There are lots of small farmers who have spare land that may be interested in a collaborative arrangement growing a crop/livestock. A sound business plan will be a must, showing how expenses and profits will be shared.

Is anyone already involved in an arrangement like this?

Regards,

Charlie

With so many farming properties being pushed out, I think collaborative farming is the future.

The issue is finding like mindedness,  locally.

Hi Nagesh,  I would like to partner with some one like yourself or form a syndicate and start a quandong orchard, I think this fruit has huge potental. I am at Cobar NSW, a long way from Sydney, but land is cheap and quandongs can be found growing naturally in this area. I guess if we went ahead with this idea you would have to camp on the block at times you could get away which may not be what you want but give it some thought at least and let me know if you think some thing could be put together.

Regards, Rosswilliam

Just a thought... I bought a farm 2.5hrs from Sydney and went in partnership of sheep with my neighbour. He lives there fulltime so can give supervision over the flock daily. We are absent landholders otherwise.
