Verification

Hi, Got an offer to invest in a farm. Is there a way I can verify: -- The person is really the owner of the farm -- The exact borders (land area) of the farm The question refers to some evidence from source other than the papers the seller presents, like some governmental database of some sort. Thanks, Danny.

Hi Danny,

Welcome to the hobby farming forum and thanks for the question.

Apart from a legal serach by a solicitor I'm not sure there would be any other way to find out if the person is the actual owner of the farm. Regarding the borders and the size of the farm you could try a search on the NSW planning website and see if that yields any results. You will most likley need the lot, DP or title number of the farm land you are searching.

I'm not much help on this topic, so other members may have some other ideas.

Regards,
Charlie
