Hi. I am wanting to start a very small hydroponic growing facility in my backyard and set it up as a legitimate business. The initial plan was to grow some sort of flower based product, and sell at a very small scale to florists / caterers, e.c.t. I am now considering moving into food produce, like fruits and vegetables. I have searched many government websites looking for information about what I need to satisfy legally to be able to grow and sell food commercially, but their is no straight answer. I did find some information that said I don't need to notify local council if I am a primary production food business that is not a small egg or poultry farm. But I still am still unsure about what I do need. Can you guys please let me know what legal stuff I need in place before I start growing / selling primary produce? Thanks. - Location is NSW.
