Taking the leap

Hi Everyone,
I might be a bit early in posting here, My wife and I are currently looking for some land to start our rural lifestyle. Looking around the Goulburn NSW area for some land to buy, but also open to leasing some land to run some livestock on as we are not in a rush and want to find the right place to buy.
A bit about me, I did a traineeship as a Jackaroo when I was 17 and I have family who run dairy farms in VIC, I am now 39 and ready to take the plunge. Sick of the corporate life and want to get out of Sydney.
I am loving the content on this site and have spent many hours reading the posts and info. I also joined the Facebook site.
Just looking to start networking with like minded people, and will also put myself out there for free labour within a couple of hours of Sydney to gain experience.
Cheers
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
It sounds like we might be on similar paths, having just purchases a small block North of Goulburn. There is a lot of interest in land for weekenders in that area at the moment. At one inspection there were about 30 people present! Good luck with the search.

Thanks for the reply Jen, I am certainly seeing alot of properties that are currently under contract. Good sign for the market I guess, not so good for me. :)
I have also been researching leasing some land which could be an option for me also. Expanding my search outside of the current search area looks like is on the cards too.
What are you planning on doing with your block?
