hi all and organic fertiliser

Hi brian and chris stephen here,

Pindari farms canina queensland. We grow macadamia nuts and have 2000 trees and run 100 dorper sheep. We market our own macadamia nuts, in sydney, melbourne and export to thiland when we have a large crop. We also import organic fertilizer for our own use and market the fertilizer as well, it is organic and is made from fermented molasses ,and comes in a granual form, lovley smell and a treat to use, we also make a bit of biochar, (charcole), that is a soil conditioner, please feel free to ask any questions or advice, looking forward to chatting to you all.

Hi Brian,

Welcome to Farmstyle. Thanks for letting us know about your farming interests, it sounds like you have a interesting mix. I'm sure some of our members will have some questions for you regarding growing macadamia's and biochar production.

Do you have some further details regarding the organic fertiliser, a nutrient analysis?

there is another side to this fertilizer as well, it is a feed supplement , we have been feeding to pigs, sheep and cattle, it takes the place of urea and is totally safe and is showing results, and the price is very competitive, similar organic fertilizer in my area is around $1200 and up a ton and liquid is around $3000 for 1000 litres

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the reply and the fertiliser analysis. The product looks and sounds very interesting. Is it certified as an 'organic', can small farmers use it if their farm is organically certified?

Hope the harvest is going well.

the AQIS permit describes the fertilizer as organic, i would say you would have to run it by your organic certifier, all organic certifiers must be passed by the AQIS, so if it was not excepted i would be asking questions, we are not a certified macadamia farm , however we market our produce as organically grown and spray free, we are approved best farm practice, and fresh care, we are held accountable for what we say.
