John Deere Expands Commercial Zero-Turn Radius Mower Lineup

Remaining in touch with the evolving needs of professional landscape contractors, John Deere announces the addition of two new commercial zero-turn radius mowers. The ZTrak™ Z945M and ZTrak Z955M models offer professionals Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engines with higher horsepower for increased fuel efficiency and power in varied mowing conditions.

The Z945M, featuring a 20.1 kW (27 hp), 824 cc EFI engine, and the Z955M, featuring a 21.6 kW (29 hp), 824 cc EFI engine, are available with multiple deck offerings – 152.4 cm (60 in.) side discharge or 152.4 cm (60 in.) Mulch On Demand™ (MOD) is available on both models, and a 182.9 cm (72 in.) side discharge is also available on the Z955M. The increased horsepower makes quicker work of common activities, such as material collection, mulching and mowing in thick turf conditions, and the EFI engine improves overall fuel economy.

"Our customers are hard-working and need equipment that is just as hard working as them. They demand higher horsepower EFI machines to more efficiently tackle varied mowing activities," said Nick Minas, product manager, John Deere Commercial Mowing. "With the latest additions to our ZTrak mower line, we’re satisfying the needs of our professional customers while providing additional value with increased comfort and ease-of-use features."

In addition to increased power and improved fuel economy, John Deere has also enhanced ride comfort and ease-of-use on these new models. To help operators stay more comfortable on long mowing days, the new mower offers an optional premium suspension seat on the M and R series machines. The newly designed seat offers a thicker bottom cushion, additional padding on the back with ergonomic contouring, and adjustable armrests to improve ride comfort and the overall mowing experience.

For added convenience, users will also notice an enlarged and angled fuel filler neck to complete fueling with less mess on all new Z900 Series ZTrak mowers.
