Advance Symposium on Mohair Quality, Classing and Marketing
An invitation is extended to mohair producers to discuss a possible new phase for the Australian industry.
At the centre of Angora breeding is the concept of Quality. Breeders strive to improve their animals and demonstrate superiority in show and sale rings. With this in mind it is surprising that the mohair selling system fails to follow through by rewarding producers who achieve a level of superiority in their clips. This symposium is aimed at establishing a set of criteria and a marketing supply chain for superior fibre without “splitting the clip” or damaging our fragile industry.
Location: Avondale College, Freemans Drive, Cooranbong, NSW
